I'm not interested but that looks like a really good kit. I hope this means an RG Nu Gundam is coming. I've been looking forward to that for a while now.

I wonder if they're going to use a preexisting frame or make a whole new one. Either way, this looks like a wonderful addition to the RG line, especially since the other one in the same size is pretty dated and some people might not be interested in the 1/100 line.

I hope they make a new frame; from what I hear the Sinanju suffered a bit from trying to reuse the Mk. II frame.

It does reuse the Mk. II frame, but I'd hardly say it "suffers" for it. The people who levied that criticism at it are being... well, not stupid about it, but certainly their priorities are a bit ridiculous.

Gotcha. I don't own the kit myself, that's just what I'd heard. If it works well then great.

Their priorities are ridiculous? The criticisms I've seen of the RG Sinanju implied its joints couldn't support the added weight, making it floppy. I hardly think that's an invalid point.

Look at you. You're reading about Gundams, when you could be reading about Gundams and a whole bunch of other crazy stuff.

Maybe you're seeing different criticisms than me, then. The only criticism I've seen with regard to the frame boils down to "it's bad because it's not new"... the expectation, obviously, being that this should have been an entirely new mold for newness's sake.

As for how well it holds up, I found the kit to be sufficiently sturdy all throughout, and what issues existed were due to the inherent nature of the design or the inherent nature of an RG. The joints certainly weren't hindered by the weight of the kit any more than any other RG I've built. That being said, I didn't feel the need to play with my kit extensively. I fiddled around with it during and immediately after the build just to see what it could and couldn't do, and then I left it in a static pose for the next few months until I sold it.

... so we're down to three parts on the AMSJ runner, none of which appear to belong to any extremities. Fine by me, really.

Rather amazing how the RG kits lately seem to be better engineered than the MG versions.

To be fair, they had a basis with which to work on and time.
Now you see, what you did wrong there was read the comment section on GG.

Side by side I prefer the MG, it has better torso proportions.

I'd found myself liking the RG's proportions best out of all of them, but now I can't unsee that tiny little chest.

I saw the same as above two comments. I suppose I want more of a Izubuchi than Ka version. There are certain things in the RG that has added attention, more muscular shape of the upper arm and thigh, a nicer head, hands, more contouring on the front shin armor. As for the chest, I have seen a lot of pictures of the UCHG version having the chest covering the tip of the head. I suspect it may be the reason why it is shrunk.
Here is a video of the built up kit. it is said the joints are made very sturdy. Joints can keep parts in position.

hard to make a choice...
Will there be PG Nu or Sazabi in the future? but PG size sazabi...

I've never disliked the Sazabi, but I've never really cared about it either. This model is seriously changing that for me. I really, really like this kit, and might actually end up getting it.
